Hello, everyone. My name is Garrett, and today is a great day to learn something new. So let’s do that together, friends. My name is Anne-Marie. And this is Studio Classroom. Thanks for joining us, friends.

Let’s get started with a great talk-about-it question. Today’s question is, do you ever feel pressure to be perfect? How does it make you feel? Yes, I feel pressure to be perfect all the time. And Garrett, it makes me feel stressed.

I am exactly the same way. I want everything to go just right, and sometimes when it doesn’t, I just start blaming everything and everyone, sometimes except for myself. Oh, yes.

Sometimes I do get into the habit of blaming myself, and that just makes the stress and pressure even more intense.

But we have an interesting topic today, friends, because we are going to be looking at a book that talks about perfection as not necessarily a good thing. Right. It is not the most important thing. This article is called The Gifts of Imperfection.

That would be the opposite of perfection. All right. Well, let’s find out what this book has to say as we get into our first reading.

The Gifts of Imperfection: Live with Courage, Compassion, and Connection. Do you ever feel pressure to be perfect? In The Gifts of Imperfection, author and researcher Brené Brown explores this important topic.

We don’t need to be perfect to live a meaningful and full life. Instead, we need to embrace who we truly are, with all our flaws, fears, and uncertainties.

Welcome to Language Lab. I’m Jack. As a researcher for the podcast, I gather data, identify relevant topics, and research the backgrounds of potential speakers.

Rather than believing everything you read online, research to make sure the information is accurate.

Research indicates that individuals who live with others tend to fare better emotionally and physically than those who live alone.

Why do so many people feel the need to be perfect? Well, they’re trying to make everything go just right in their lives.
